
Mark Garrett
Head Pastor
Legacy Christian Church's Lead Pastor is Mark Garrett. Mark is a native of Hamilton, Ohio, and is married to Judith. They have two beautiful daughters, Rebecca and Tori and are proud grandparents of Ashton, Micah, Hadley, and Wade. Mark began full-time ministry in 1987. He is a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute. He has a bachelor's degree from Christian Life School of Theology. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Lexington Theological Seminary. Along with his pastoral duties at the church, Mark works part time at the Crosby Township Fire Department as a firefighter/EMT and chaplain. He also serves as the city of Harrison Fire Department's chaplain. Mark is known for his thought-provoking preaching, which is centered around practical application to everyday life. His humorous style is capable of breaking down barriers and opening the hearts of those listening.
Ryan Russell
Next Gen Pastor
Ryan Russell came from the small town of Flatwoods Kentucky. He attended Milligan University. He has a wonderful wife named Dani that he has been able to spend 6 years together!

Greg Mathena
Lay Pastor and Elder
Greg Mathena is an elder and, in November of 2021, he also became a lay pastor. A lay pastor is a preacher or a religious proclaimer who is not a formally ordained cleric. Greg Mathena has been a member of Legacy since October 1999. He lives outside Bright Indiana with his wife Jawanda and 3 adult kids, Valerie, Travis, and Brad. He also has a granddaughter, Penny. He heads up most of our mission trips both international and in the states. Greg retired as an airline pilot. He also served in the local volunteer fire department as a chief. He is now building his own airplane to fly around for fun!

Penny Williams
Elder
Penny started coming to Legacy in 2015, and have been here ever since. She became an Elder on on December 15th, 2024. Her and her husband Joe have been married for 45 years and have been blessed with 3 kids and 5 grandkids. She retired from full time at Fifth Third Bank, and now works part time as the Clerk of the Village of Cleves. She has had the joy of baptizing her granddaughter, her uncle, and his daughter in her time here at Legacy. She also went on her first mission trip to Mexico, and it was a life changing experience for her. She is so thankful to be a part of a congregation who cares for each other, and believes in the power of prayer.

Diane Elrod
Elder
She has been attending Legacy (formerly First Christian) since 1996, when she married her husband Tom they moved to Cincinnati. A new friend invited them to church and we've been attending ever since. they moved to Harrison in 2010 and she became an elder in 2012. She has three adult children and four precious grandchildren. After she retired as Executive Director of Reach Out Pregnancy Center in 2023, she became full-time babysitters for Cali May, who gave them the names Nonni and Poppy. Such an honor!

Mike Bradshaw
Elder
Mike and his wife Jenny have been members of Legacy for 27 years, They have two daughters and two grandsons. They have served in various positions within the church and the Harrison community. Mike is currently the chair of the elders and Jenny serves on the general board and stewardship team.

Pam Hopkins
Elder
Pam has lived in the Harrison area for most of her life. She and her husband, Kirk, have been married for 29 years and have been members of Legacy for about 21 years. They have 3 children, Rachel, Natalie, and Seth. Pam works in King library at Miami University. Pam and Kirk led worship for Legacy Kids for 16 years. Pam was installed as an elder on 1-11-2015 so she has been an elder for 10 years.

Tiffany Hollis
Elder
Tiffany serves as an elder in the church, leads worship with vocals, and is active in the South Eastern Indiana Emmaus Community.
